St Peter’s Boys Prep - Thinking Skills Open Morning 20 September 2017

Boys Prep  October 12, 2017 | Academics | Diane Fraser and the Grade Heads

On Wednesday morning, parents were invited to an open morning to see Thinking Skills in action. St Peter’s Prep Schools are one of the only schools who are “Thinking Skills Accredited” and we are known as a Thinking School. We wanted to share how the Thinking Tools are used throughout the grades in every subject. In the Information Age that we live in, critical thinking is a must-have skill for all of us to live happy, meaningful and successful lives.

Parents could wander around to the various grades for the morning and listen in, witness and actually use some of the tools.

On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of St Peter’s College, it is both a privilege and an honour for me to congratulate the Matric class of 2017 on an outstanding set of results, which further reinforces our reputation for academic excellence.
I am exceptionally proud of their wonderful achievements and through their hard work, discipline and perseverance, they have made themselves, their families and their school extremely proud.
I want to thank our Deputy Headmistress of Academics, Mrs Shelly Matthews; our Grade 12 Grade Head, Mrs Cornel Malan; the Heads of Department; members of our academic faculty, as well as, our administrative and support staff who together have created an environment which is conducive to our students attaining academic excellence.
