Visual art
Visual Art comprises a theoretical and practical component.
The theoretical component includes studies in Visual Culture, as well as investigations into concepts surrounding the practical tasks, for example, feminism, resistance art in South Africa and global issues. The practical component of the subject involves exploring a variety of art disciplines and media, for example, drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, multi-media, print-making and photography.

Visual Art is an academic subject that is designated by the IEB and highly acknowledged by tertiary institutions. Success in this subject will assist students in their applications for all art-related courses on a tertiary level as well as to obtain entrance into a Bachelor of Arts Degree at university.
