Orientation
Our orientation programme is specifically designed to ensure that our Grade 8 students are made to feel comfortable in their new environment as quickly as possible. The programme runs during the first two weeks of the first term and include the Grade 8 gala and Grade 8 camp.
At St Peter’s College we uphold the value of respect for every individual and hence the practice of any form of “initiation” with our Grade 8 students is prohibited. Our Grade 8 orientation programme has been in existence since the first year of the College and is extremely successful and embraced by new students and parents.
New students are provided with a “buddy” who guides them with regard to the practicalities of the College. The Register Teacher and Grade Head are also instrumental in assisting new students in settling in as quickly and easily as possible.
