St Peter's Old Boys T20 Cricket Game
The St Peter’s Old Boys cricket team took to the Mvukuzane field on Saturday 10 October 2015 as part of the St Peters T20 festival.
The opposing team, The Goblins, were put in to bat and made a very respectable score of 196/5 off their 20 overs. Malcolm Deacon top scored with 59. Brendan Owen (2009) was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs.
The St Peter’s Old Boys came out guns blazing with Justin Attlee scoring a quick fire 16. Despite some tight bowling the top order batsmen, Callum Cronin (2003) scored 77 with Stephen Bendall (1998) scoring 92 to see the Old Boys to victory with overs to spare.
Thanks to all concerned in pulling this event together and to the players from both sides in putting on a high quality game of cricket. We look forward to hosting this event on an annual basis and will keep the Old Boys informed of the dates.
