Celebrating our Heritage

On Wednesday, 30 September 2020, we will pay special attention to who we are, the future ahead, and how we plan to get there. Hence we plan the celebration of our cultures – both past and present. We will celebrate our colorful and multitudinous languages; our customs and traditions, and our identities.

And so, as part of this recognition and celebration, we wish to invite our community members to participate through traditional dress that is symbolic of who they are and what they represent.

Heritage month is a great teaching moment in a space as diverse as ours. Most importantly, we would like our community members to engage in conversations around heritage and our cultures as well as their intersectional relationships.
