Congratulations to the following individual students on their outstanding results
Luke Hewson, the Dux Scholar of 2018, attained a full house of distinctions in the Preliminary Examinations, as well as being the highest achieving academic candidate throughout his Grade 12 year. It is this young man who, at Grade 12 Prize Giving, was re-awarded academic honours and was the recipient of six academic trophies as well as three subject prizes. Based on these phenomenal results to date, Luke without a doubt has shown the greatest promise for outstanding Final Examination results.
We are proud to announce, as expected, he continued with his renowned academic success in the Final Examinations by attaining an outstanding nine distinctions. His subjects for the National Senior Certificate Final Examinations were English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Accounting, Physical Science, Information Technology, Life Orientation, Business Studies and Advance Programme Mathematics. Luke was placed on the in the Outstanding Achievement list for having six or more of his subjects in the top 5% and achieving a rating of level 7 in Life Orientation.
Matthew Wille attained 8 distinctions in the Preliminary Examinations and is one of the highest achieving academic candidates in his grade and an individual who has accomplished impressive results throughout his high school career. In 2018 he was re-awarded academic honours, thus adding another academic award to his white blazer, the highest accolade at the College.
As expected, he continued with his renowned academic success in the Final Examinations by attaining an outstanding 8 distinctions in the National Senior Certificate Final Examinations.
His subjects: English, Afrikaans, Accounting, Life Orientation, Business Studies, Mathematics, Physical Science, Information Technology and Advanced Programme Mathematics.
2018 has been a watershed year for Christie Vemer with regards to her academic achievements. She was awarded a prestigious white blazar in the first term of Grade 12. She then went on to achieve seven distinctions in the Preliminary Examinations which then put her in line for a re-award for academic honours. At Prize Giving she was awarded three trophies and two subject prizes. These were a culmination of a successful academic career at St Peter’s College.
We are proud to announce, as expected, Christie excelled in her Final Examinations. She attained eight distinctions in the National Senior Certificate Examinations.
