St Peter's College Media Department

The “M” in “AD@M” stands for Media (Art, Design, and Media). The media department is a new and upcoming part of AD@M with many exciting projects and events. One of these projects is the AD@M website build. The project is as the name suggests, a website that is being built to house the AD@M department and showcase some of the work from our young creative people. 

Mr Trapani tasked the students with the responsibility of creating this website, with some assistance from Mr Chris Watson (Multi-Media Specialist and web designer, USA). This website was created on a website tool called Wix.cm. Bailey and Brandon Hawsey created the skeleton for the site over the term two breaks. This skeleton site was then tweaked and developed by Mr Watson. He gave constructive criticism and helped to develop the student’s ideas. The website is close to completion with a soft launch happening in early December 2020. 

A logo competition was run to create the new AD@M logo that would be shown and displayed on the site. Many students have also been busy creating amazing content that will be displayed for viewer consumption on the website, so watch this space.

A virtual exhibition of Grade 12’s final projects for the year will also be presented on the website. This project has been run by Gabi Otto and Justine Hallows. They created and designed the layout of the virtual exhibition. The work from the matric art students is being finalised and added to the virtual exhibition for all eyes to see. We congratulate the Matrics on completing their artworks under some challenging circumstances this year—well done Grade 12s of 2020.
