Students turned up March 2021

March 2021 will be remembered as the month that noise returned to our sporting facilities and what a noise it was. With the return to sport allowed, students turned up in their numbers with smiles on their faces and plenty of banter.

Something that was such a normal process to everyone before now seemed slightly odd, but it didn’t take long for everyone to get stuck in and enjoy being outside participating.

With no inter-school competition allowed, our St Peter’s College Intra-School Competition was established with great success. Three Saturdays of competition including Rugby, Hockey, Netball, and Cross Country as well as our squash players returning to the courts, brought the concept of “Sport on Saturday” front and center again. It was fantastic! Thank you to all students, staff, and parents for buying into this event and for making it so successful.

Finally, the Department of Education has allowed inter–school competition. The Sports Office is feverishly plotting May and June schedules. Further communication regarding these schedules and  COVID-19 protocols involved in the return to inter-school competition will be communicated in due course.
