The Matric year of 2020 signifies a challenge for us as a St Peter’s College community.
The Matric year of 2020 signifies a challenge for us as a St Peter’s College community.
You might be feeling stressed and overwhelmed, but before you know it, the end of the year and the Matric Final Examinations will be upon us. St Peter’s College challenges you to give it everything you’ve got, and know that whatever happens next, you’ve got what it takes to achieve the best possible Matric results.
When we received the Matric results for the Class of 2019 in January this year, we were thrilled that they had achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate and a 95% Bachelor Degree Pass. We are therefore publishing the 2019 results, firstly to honour the legacy left behind by the Matric Class of 2019, but also as a motivation for the Matric Class of 2020 to work towards achieving the same results, and even to improve on these.
There will be choices, twists and turns in your path, and a lot of that path won’t be anything like you imagined. That’s one of the beautiful things about life. Sometimes things will work out exactly as you thought, and sometimes things will be different. It’s in the unexpected that the magic happens so take notice of your disappointments – they are often opportunities disguised as something else.
Hence, as you ready yourself to start Term 2 on Tuesday, 05 May 2020, possibly initially still online, you owe it to yourself to work hard and do your best. Setbacks are temporary, disappointment doesn’t last and enough courage can lift you out of anywhere. St Peter’s College has given you the opportunities, and above all else, it’s taught you that you can learn anything and do anything when you put in the effort.
Don’t let any of the bends or detours change your belief in your own potential, and know that the entire St Peter’s College staff is behind you all the way.
