Judith Ramuthaga

Judith has worked within the public and managed healthcare environment as well as the pharmaceutical industry in research and development. She served the pharmaceutical industry as Chairperson of the South African Clinical Research Association (SACRA) and Vice-Chair of the Pharmaceutical Industry Task Group (ITG). In addition to her broader portfolio, she was responsible for business development across English-speaking African countries. She has served as the Global Trial Operations Transversal Services Expert at Sanofi since 2016.

Judith is active in various social and family initiatives outside her professional life, focusing on supporting and enriching under-resourced communities. She serves as an Elder at MidChurch in Midrand, has a passion for strengthening family structures and conducts pre-marital couples counselling in her spare time.

She holds a BCur degree from the Medical University of South Africa, an MSc in Psychiatric Nursing from Wits and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from UNISA.

Des Mahony

Des qualified as a chartered accountant and worked across the financial sector in numerous African countries. He also completed legal studies and is a qualified arbitrator. Des first became involved in the St Peter’s community when his daughter was among the first girls to join the Girls Prep. While his son was attending the Boys Prep, Des helped unite the Parents Associations of both schools. He joined the College Parents Association in 2016, serving as Chairperson for 2018 and 2019. Through this role, he joined the Council and currently serves as Chairperson, continuing his commitment to St Peter’s beyond his children’s school years.

Des worked alongside Kari, Chairperson of the Trust, on several occasions at St Peter’s, where she introduced him to the Trust’s mission of making the College accessible to deserving students. He is proud to play a role in advancing the Trust’s reach and growing its impact for future beneficiaries.

Des is passionate about South Africa – its outdoors, diverse communities, wildlife, flora and unique opportunities. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, with a focus on history and wildlife.

Gerard Deeb

After graduating with a BCom in Marketing, Gerard built his career in corporate marketing before becoming self-employed in the building industry. Since 2005, he has served on the Parents Association and Governing Body of St Peter’s College, and he is currently a Trustee. Through his governance work, Gerard strongly believes that the primary responsibility of school leadership is to provide a well-rounded education across academics, sport and cultural disciplines.

This holistic approach ensures student potential is fully maximised, preparing young people to leave the School as confident, law-abiding citizens equipped to make positive contributions to society. Gerard believes every child deserves access to quality education, and the Trust provides that life-changing opportunity.

Gerard is a Christian, a board member of The Village Safe Haven (a home for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children) and an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys wildlife, gardening and supporting the Sharks, Springboks, Proteas and Tottenham Hotspur.

Revd Kabelo Motlhakane

As School Chaplain and Head of Transformation at St Peter’s College, Reverend Kabelo Motlhakane brings a unique perspective to his work, serving as both an ordained priest and a specialist in transformation and belonging. Reverend Kabelo’s dual role allows him to serve as the School’s spiritual leader while guiding conversations around race, religion, sexuality, gender and other social dimensions. His overarching goal is to ensure that everyone on the St Peter’s College campus feels safe, heard, seen and valued.
