St Peter’s College is a proud Anglican Christian school affiliated with the Anglican Diocese of Johannesburg, under the spiritual guidance of the Bishop. The Bishop, who serves as the Spiritual Head and Visitor on the College Council, plays a central role in upholding our Anglican ethos. As an Anglican institution, we emphasise Christlike values that are rooted in the love of God and the love of others. We uphold values such as hospitality, inclusivity, personal integrity, justice, equity and compassionate care for those in need. These values, drawn from the life and teachings of Christ, continue to shape both our chapel services and classroom instruction, fostering an environment where students grow spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially.
Each day begins with a reading from the Holy Scriptures and a moment of prayer. Chapel services are held every Thursday, and the Holy Eucharist is celebrated at the start and end of each term, as well as on significant holy days such as Ash Wednesday and Ascension Day.
