Grade 3 and 4 Boys Raise over R12 000 for the Guide Dogs
The Grade 3 and 4 boys recently hosted a Bake Sale in support of the South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind. Each boy baked something delicious to sell at break to raise funds for this worthy cause.
A few weeks later, these boys had the privilege of welcoming the Guide- Dogs Association to our school after raising over R12 000 through their successful bake sale initiative.
The visit gave the boys insight into the important work the Guide-Dogs Association does, including how they train the service dogs to support people with visual impairments and other disabilities. The boys loved meeting and interacting with some of the adorable puppies currently in training.
Service to others is important to us at St Peter’s and this initiative highlighted the importance of compassion, community involvement, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
